Tectonic Play

Games and interactive experiences built for engagement, replayability and retention.

From playable acquisition to progression-driven experiences, we design systems people can actually interact with, not just look at.

The question

What makes an experience worth coming back to?

Attention is easy to buy. Return behavior is harder.

Tectonic Play explores how game mechanics, progression, rewards and social systems can turn a short interaction into something people want to continue.

What we built

Playable experiences across the player journey.

Four kinds of experience, each built for a different moment in a player's path.

Social Casino Experiences
Progression-driven social casino experiences designed around long-term engagement.
Acquisition Experiences
Playable experiences that sit before an offer and turn passive traffic into active interaction.
Social Reward Games
Reward-driven free-to-play experiences designed around return loops and replayability.
Dynamic Game Systems
Gameplay systems that can change based on player behavior.

Before the offer

Short games you can play right now.

The acquisition library is a set of small HTML5 games, each built around a different way of playing: Fish Bonanza, Bingo Silly Panda, Flippy Slide, Bronco, Gold Rumble, Whack, Piggy Road and Cheesy Chase.

Each one takes the place of a static landing page. The visitor plays first, and the offer comes after.

  • Cover art of Flippy Slide: a penguin sliding down an ice slope towards a fish.

All of them can be played on the Tectonic Play site.

After the first session

A casino world that grows with the player.

The social casino is a persistent world rather than a single game: live events, a player identity, an economy of coins and chests, and ranked tiers to climb. It is built for Google Play, the App Store and HTML5.

  • The home screen: a live battle with four players competing, recent winners, and progress towards the next chest and arena.
    Live battles
  • The arena screen: Bronze tier, level 2, twelve games left to reach Silver.
    Ranked tiers
  • The achievements screen: four of twenty-four completed, with a first win and a win streak to claim.

  • A rare chest opened: 5,000 coins and a golden dice added to the collection.

Inside the game

A slot engine that changes as you play.

The game systems run on a slot engine built to reshape progression pacing, reward states, bonus mechanics and the flow of play in real time, instead of staying the same in every session.

  • Food Truck, a five-reel slot set in a street food truck, waiting for the next spin.

How we think about play

The game is only the beginning.

A mechanic can create the first interaction. Progression, rewards and evolving systems create a reason to come back.

  1. Enter
  2. Play
  3. Progress
  4. Return

What carries a player from one step to the next: progression, short-session loops, rewards, live economies and social mechanics.

What we design around

Designed around return behavior.

We look at what happens after the first interaction:

  • Does the player understand what to do?
  • Do they explore?
  • Do they progress?
  • Do they return?
  • Does the system give them a reason to continue?

Why it matters to PocketFun

Play is where behavior becomes visible.

Games make decisions observable. Players explore, hesitate, repeat, abandon, return and change strategy.

Those signals become the input for the systems we build next.
