02 / LearnAdaptive Acquisition Platform

Tectonic Core

Playable campaigns that learn from interaction and tune themselves while they run.

A playable campaign platform that puts a game between the click and the offer, then learns from interaction while the campaign runs.

The question

Can a playable step change what happens after the click?

Most acquisition flows treat every click the same.

We wanted to know what would happen if the user had to interact before reaching the offer, and if the campaign could learn from those interactions while it ran.

What we built

A campaign system with a playable layer in the middle.

  1. Traffic
  2. Playable experience
  3. Behavior signals
  4. Offer

Tectonic Core lets a campaign combine a playable experience, configurable prizes, presets, tracking, multiple variants and campaign performance data.

How it responds

Every play becomes a signal.

  1. Play
  2. Signal
  3. Learn
  4. Tune

A campaign can run more than one version. Interaction and outcome data show which versions perform better.

The system can then shift traffic toward stronger variants while keeping a record of the decisions it made.

The test

Same traffic. One difference.

For 45 days, traffic was randomly split 50/50 between two paths: straight to the offer, or through a playable experience before the offer. These were first-party brands, not third-party client results.

The signup-to-deposit rate was lower in the playable arm because more people entered the funnel. But per 1,000 clicks, the playable path still produced more first-time depositors.

What we learned

More signups did not mean every signup was better.

The playable step lowered the barrier to engagement and brought more people into the funnel. That diluted the deposit rate among signups.

But when measured from the original traffic source, the playable path still produced more paying customers per 1,000 clicks.

This is exactly why we prefer experiments to assumptions.

Evidence is more useful when it changes the story.

Why it matters to PocketFun

Interaction gives us something a click cannot.

A click says someone arrived. Play shows how they behave. Core turns that behavior into signals a campaign can learn from.
